Bout of Books Read-a-Thon

I have been so incredibly busy that I am painfully behind on my reading so this Read-a-Thon is coming at the perfect moment. And in 3 years of blogging books, this will be the first read-a-thon I have officially participated in. I always figured that my life is basically a read-a-thon anyway so… The Bout of Books read-a-thon seems like it has a lot of challenges, giveaways, and prizes to keep me motivated to get caught up on all the reading I’ve been slacking on! Here’s the details:

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, August 19th and runs through Sunday, August 25th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. My goal for  is to read and review 5 books – 2 audio titles and 3 ebooks. If I choose to DNF any of these or if I finally get it together and finish The Dirty Streets of Heaven before the 19th, I will replace it with another title that’s on my to-read list.
