15 Day Book Blogger Challenge Day 5

THB5[2]

The Book Blogger Challenge is hosted by April at Good Books & Good Wine. Stop by her blog to sign up for this fun blogging challenge!!

Day Five’s Challenge asks: Recommend a tearjerker.

My first thought is to say The Fault in Our stars but I bet that will be a popular answer, I will say The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. This book definitely left me teary eyed with a knot in my chest. And that was even after knowing how it was going to end! The Book Thief is the kind of book that stays with you. I can’t recommend it highly enough! And if you listen to audio books, the narration by Allan Corduner is exquisite!

I may take the audio book route, that is how I deal with most books that I know will make me cry, even if a lot of people have read this one I just don't know why we've been avoiding each other :P
Thank you for adding your opinion of the audio book!!

I can't believe I still haven't read this book. It seems like everyone else has... I will have to get my hands on this book, it sounds really amazing! Thanks for the recommendation! :)

I love listening to audio. It's the format I prefer over anything else! I put off reading this for a long time too because of some of the comments about the writing style. But I thought it was superbly written and just an amazing read.

It really was amazing. I just read it like a year or so ago, I had put it off for a while too. But it's the kind of story that sticks with you and that you'll find yourself recommending to everyone else.

Predictably, I picked The Fault in Our Stars although The Book Thief is definitely worthy too. I've been hearing a lot about the audiobook of The Book Thief. Since it's one of the books I hope to reread, I think I'll have to consider that.
