Teaser Tuesday

teasertuesday_thumb_thumb
Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along; you don't have to be a blogger! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My teaser today is from this amazing new book by A. J. Scudiere, called God’s Eye. I was initially fascinated by this crazy spooky cover. Even my husband noticed it when I got it in the mail, and my husband NEVER notices my books anymore lol. I was happy to discover that the contents are just as incredible as the cover! Be sure to check in next week when the author takes the time to stop by The Happy Booker for a guest post and you’ll have a chance to win a signed copy of God’s Eye!

God's Eye

Zachary had plans for her, and Allistair’s only recourse – in fact, the only way to maintain his position – was to win her soul himself, to follow his own plans. He’d written his own devil’s bargain on that one. He’d failed so many times before, they wouldn’t let him back if he failed again. “ page 17

I probably wouldn't pick up that cover, but the teaser's really good - some sort of evil love triangle.

I'm surprised the cover was not a turn off. The teaser not the cover interested me. Here is my teaser:

Hahaha! I love the comments about the cover. The artist worked with me closely on it.
You'll learn something very interesting about the cover as you reach the end of the book.
(Oh, and you can google the meanings of the lead character's first and last names - Katharine Geryon - and learn something more!)
Enjoy!

I loved this book (got an advanced copy). The author is right about the cover - I liked finding out what it really meant at the end of the story. Couldn't put this one down...it is definitely a page turner. Highly recommended!
