Giveaway! Signed copy of The Best of Me by Nicholas Sparks!

THE BEST OF ME is the heart-rending story of two small-town former high school sweethearts from opposite sides of the tracks. Now middle-aged, they've taken wildly divergent paths, but neither has lived the life they imagined . . . and neither can forget the passionate first love that forever altered their world. When they are both called back to their hometown for the funeral of the mentor who once gave them shelter, they will be forced to confront the choices each has made, and ask whether love can truly rewrite the past.
The Best of Me
I just happen to live in the same town as Nicholas Sparks, New Bern NC, this beautiful area that he talks about in quite a few of his books. I think that portions of The Notebook and A Walk to Remember were even filmed in this area. Each time Nicholas releases a new book, he starts off his book tour here in New Bern, so yesterday, with the release of his new novel The Best of Me set in beautiful Oriental, NC, I headed to the mall for his book signing. The Best of Me takes place in Oriental, NC, also known as “ The Sailing Capital” of North Carolina and sounds like another wonderfully heartfelt southern romance. I can’t wait to read it!

Nicholas Sparks is one of the kindest, most approachable authors I’ve ever met. I think they said there were 4,000 people lined up waiting to meet him and have their books signed and he took the time to speak to each and every one of them and still had a smile at the end of the day. He even passed out coupons for free Chik Fil A sandwiches to everyone missing lunch to wait in line to meet him. Here’s an interview he did yesterday where he talks about his new book Best of Me.

Giveaway

I grabbed an extra copy of The Best of Me and had Nicholas Sparks sign it for one of my lucky readers! He said that he hopes whoever wins enjoys it and joked that hopes we're not too harsh in our reviews. lol

To enter, simply enter your name and email in the Rafflecopter form. There are some extra entries but they are not a requirement. Last day to enter will be midnight Sunday Oct. 16 and the winner will be chosen by Rafflecopter and announced on Monday Oct 17. Hi - I am just down the coast from you where he has set some of his other books in Beaufort, NC :) I keep saying I will go to one of his signings but never do. Maybe next year I will meet you up there since it's only 45 minutes away. I have heard he is wonderfully nice.

Thanks for the giveaway - I can't wait to read his newest book. I love reading his books since they are set around here.

My sister and I were going to move quite near Oriental until her health made it necessary for her to stay in Jersey. I loved that area of the country.
Looking forward to another Sparks book. They are magical.
