Initially, that fabulously creepy cover grabbed my attention , then after reading the summary, I knew I had to get my hands on a copy of this! I was briefly attached to adapt this book into a screenplay and I just became obsessed with Lennie’s poetic vision of the world.
The guy can write a sentence and pull a heart string. I don’t think I’m alone in thinking this.
I see it everywhere, nearly every day, in some form or another.
This book has it all—romance, scares, and, most importantly, ideas.
I loved entering this rich world (and, of course, I love that the protag is an artist like Liv!)
I just felt so connected to Ponyboy.
I just felt so connected to Holden.
I just felt so connected to Charlie. (Ok, do we sense a theme here?)
This book brought me back to YA.
So much to learn from Rilke’s beautiful poems. You can revisit them for decades.

About the Author
Amy Talkington is an award-winning screenwriter and director living in Los Angeles. Before all that she wrote about music for magazines like Spin, Ray Gun, Interview, and Seventeen (mostly just as a way to get to hang out with rock stars). As a teenager in Dallas, Texas, Amy painted lots of angsty self-portraits, listened to The Velvet Underground and was difficult enough that her parents finally let her go to boarding school on the East Coast. Liv, Forever is her first novel.
