Welcome to The Happy Booker for today’s Feature & Follow Friday hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read!
This weeks Question:
How do you handle a book you don’t like? Do you DNF or do you power through?
I am pretty quick to put a book down if it fails to grab me in the first chapter or two. But I usually don’t completely give up on a book and mark it as a DNF until after I have attempted to read it several times. What I want to read it often determined by my mood at that moment so something that doesn’t grab me the first couple times around might be just the thing on another day. BUT if a book contains shoddy writing, bad grammar, or cheesy dialog, I will mark it as DNF without trying it again.
What about you, do you force yourself to read books you don’t like? Be sure to leave a comment so I can stop by your blog and return the follow!
